The Editors team led by Eva M. Stüwe creates Westwing’s shoppable magazine with their know-how and creativity in order to transform online shopping into a truly joyful experience for our customers. Between interviews with Interior and Lifestyle Icons, Designers and Architects, trend research and creative meetings, they not only work closely with our international Editors, Influencer Marketing, Cooperation’s Team and Interior Designers from Westwing Studio, but also worldwide PR agencies, Influencers and Sales, Partnership & Production.

To ensure that interior trends, designers and brands, home stories and our Westwing Collection are perfectly staged, they closely align with inhouse Stylists, Photographers, and Video Producers, polish crisp headlines and pass over to our inhouse Graphic Designers. Then only the hand-picked product sorting needs to be added et voila- the campaign is ready and almost too good to be online only for a limited amount of time.

To get more insights into the variety of tasks of the Editor Team, we’ve met with Moritz and Nina who tell us more about their responsibilities:

Moritz, Senior Editor

“I started in April 2021 and I am in charge of bringing the content of Westwing Collection launches to the next level by focusing extremely on storytelling and behind-the-scenes-flair. Since we are creating a shoppable magazine, I am also writing a bi-weekly column about the newest must-haves and trends from our club campaigns. And because three is a magic number, I am also responsible to coach our Junior Editors in terms of writing and editing, so they quickly find our Westwing Voice and rise as our next editing superstars. Right now I am writing a column about weekenders and why they are a must-have for short trips. Additionally, I am proofreading several content pieces, and I am also in the middle of sorting. I write, proofread and conceptualize content pieces, I sort campaigns, I make briefings for the photo team, I support the Junior Editors and the Lead Editor and I try to improve workflows wherever it’s possible. I need to align with several teams from Marketing to Partnerships, Sales, external interview partners, and our Global Creative Director when it comes to the Westwing Collection launches. I appreciate my team which is full of people that are 100 % qualified, committed, trustworthy, and fun. I like it. Everyone is super supportive and ready to go the extra mile. I am happy and blessed to work with every one of them.”

Nina, Editor

“I started my journey at Westwing back in April 2019 as Junior Editor and I’m still loving it! As an Editor and part of the Creative Team at Westwing I am responsible for creating exciting and entertaining content for our daily starting sale promotions on westwing.de & newsletters that are both: fun to read and informative, e.g. styling guides, inspiring home stories with Celebrities & Influencers as well as interviews with designers and experts from different fields of home & living. Beyond the tasks of a ‘typical’ editor, I take care of the product arrangement on the website to ensure a coherent and enjoyable shopping experience, which I think is very unique and fun. Currently, I have the pleasure to focus on content creation for our most loved brand, our own Westwing Collection, by constantly developing new content formats and story ideas that bring the products of our Westwing design team to life. My working day usually starts with cuddling our two office dogs (there are many more in the building!) and getting a coffee from the office kitchen next door. After checking in with my editing colleagues on the most important to-dos of the day, I start right into writing, preparing briefings for upcoming photo shoots, and concepts, and of course, chatting with colleagues, again a lot of dog cuddling, and if the weather is fine, the day ends with an after-work drink on the terrace. I am constantly in touch with our talented in-house photographers and stylists to make sure my content vision meets the overall Westwing look & feel. I am also regularly in touch with Merchandising & Sales aligning on products and upcoming campaigns. Not to forget our colleagues from Influencer Marketing, Instagram Managers, and Video Producers that often contribute to our content with inspiring stories and pictures. And, of course, communication with external stakeholders such as PR agencies, and what I enjoy most about working at Westwing and especially my team is the common sense for details — the ‘It’s not perfect until we love it’ attitude. You can truly feel that all team members are passionate about interior design and love what they do.”
